Class books!
Class books are starting to come home. Please read the story with your child and return it the next day, so I can send it home with another student.

Hunt for the Gingerbread Man
Today we went in search of the Gingerbread Man. He visited our school and the children discovered where the office and nurses office was while we were searching for him. "Pete the Cat" told us he came to our school so we made hats and looked quietly in the halls for him.
Even though we never found him, he left us Oreos at our desk to enjoy.
Here are some great kid comments that your children said while we were in search of the Gingerbread Man.
"Look he left a mess in that classroom!"
" He's close I have crumbs in my shoes!"
"Look he left us Oreos!"
"He knocked over that pencil!"
"He made a mess on the carpet. Look at his dirty footprints!"
"You should text Pete the Cat and see if the Gingerbread Man left him cookies!"

Meet Ms. St. Louis
Hi, everyone! My name is Julia St. Louis. I am a student teacher from the University of Missouri- Columbia and I will be in the classroom with your students for the next couple of weeks. I am a Senior studying elementary education and emphasizing in mathematics. I have a passion for helping students learn and grow and become confident in themselves and their abilities. This past summer I was the Aquatics Camp Director at the South County YMCA, so I am always around children and I enjoy the excitement that makes up the days. I am looking forward to learning so much this year and becoming a part of the Sappington community. I know that this school year will be full of many firsts and exciting adventures, and I can not wait to get started with it all!
